PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

The Formax FD 87HDS Hard Drive Shredder provides the most excellent level of security by physically destroying discarded hard drives. It simply loads a hard drive into one of two cutting chambers and closes the safety shield. Shred Size: Desktop hard drives are shredded to 1.6” wide particles, while laptop drives are shredded to .19” particles. Formax FD 87HDS has a high-quality steel punch punctures the hard drive which then falls into the provided waste bin for storage until you can dispose or recycle them. The FD 87HDS has powerful cutting blades are made of hardened steel for strength and durability. Each shredding chamber features a metal safety shield, and its own resettable LED counter to keep an accurate tally of shredded drives. The LED control panel is very easy to use, displays operational status and offers jam protection with Auto Reverse and Auto Stop. There are also sensors that stop the motor automatically if any of the doors are open or the waste bin is full. The powerful metal-geared motor is housed in an all-metal cabinet with casters for mobility, this model is specially designed for low operational noise. Hard drives always have sensitive media on them that you don't want anyone to get their hands on.
