SEM EMP-1000 HS NSA Listed Degausser ability to complete a cycle in the time frame of 25-second is the fastest of any NSA-listed degausser. According to SEM, This has the capability to detect the strength of the magnetic field during operation and displays it to confirm that the media have been fully degaussed. Considered by SEM as the first NSA-listed degausser to feature a high-resolution LCD touch screen with multicolored icons for operator control and feedback.

An onboard Smart Logic processor allows for a variety of checks and comparison features designed to ensure the electrical systems and functions run properly. Designed with Auto-Sync feature that automatically identifies and “syncs” to the outlet’s voltage (110 or 220 volts at 50-60 hertz AC). Having compact dimensions of 11.4 inches wide by 19 inches deep and 23 inches high.

This EMP 1000-HS model ability to fit on standard desks and tables which also can be paired with an NSA-listed SEM Model 0101 crusher to comply with “degauss and destroy” guidelines for the sanitization of classified magnetic media.

Evaluated by the NSA and is listed on the NSA EPL for high-security degaussers erasing data on 5,000 Oe longitudinal and perpendicular recorded disk drives and 3,000 Oe for tape media (includes LTO8 tape). The EMP1000-HS degausser is compact and portable and can be easily transported to the location of the media for onsite erasure and declassification.
