The Formax FD260 Crash Tabber (Single Head) uses "crash tab" technology to quickly apply tabs, that will meet constantly changing postal regulations, to folded mailpieces. By simply feeding the edge of the mailpiece into the FD260, it contacts an adhesive tab and travels through a set of rollers where the tab is tightly sealed and folded, creating a mail-ready piece.

The FD260 achieves a high productivity rate because the short edge of the folded mailpiece is fed through the machine, increasing production rate at any given speed. With its short paper path, there is no need for skewing adjustment. Without drifting from left to right, the FD260 provides accuracy as the tabs fold tight to the edge of the mailpiece. The mailpiece can be fed through in different directions, which allows the flexibility to apply tab in various locations.
